Choose your cover
Comprehensive or third-party?
The difference is more than the premium. Start with what happens to your own car, then look at repair options and exclusions.
| Cover at a glance | ComprehensiveYour car + liability to others | Third-party onlyUAE legal minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Damage to your car | Accidental own damage, subject to terms | Not covered |
| Injury & damage to others | Third-party liability included | Core cover: third-party injury and property damage |
| Fire & theft | Covered, subject to policy conditions | Not covered for your car |
| Natural perils & flood | Check wording and endorsements; not automatic | No own-vehicle cover |
| Agency repair | Option, subject to vehicle age and insurer terms | No repair cover for your car |
| 24/7 roadside assistance | Included on some plans or available as an add-on | Check optional assistance separately |
Which one is right for you?
Consider comprehensive cover for a newer or higher-value car, or if you could not comfortably pay for repairs or a replacement. A financed vehicle may require it.
Third-party may suit an older, lower-value car if you can bear your own repair costs. It does not pay for damage to your car when you are at fault.
This is general guidance. The insurer's policy wording, schedule, endorsements, limits and exclusions determine your cover.
